Happy Anniversary Card, Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies Sneak Peek! Available June 1st!

Today I am showcasing the card I gave my hubby to celebrate our 2nd Year Wedding Anniversary, which also happens to be Cinco de Mayo. I am not gonna lie, we did feel this date would be an easy one to remember :). 5/5/15 so we went with it. We got married on our back patio on a Tuesday afternoon in front of a couple of our closest friends. Today is a beautiful day, just like the day we said I do.

The adirondack chair from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies portrays what it feels like to “sit back and relax”. That is exactly what we are doing today! So, when I thought about what to use on the card I wanted to make him, immediately grabbed these thinlits, a piece from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack and my Big Shot and quickly cropped out two chairs to place side by side.

I grabbed the all new In-Color Tranquil Tide because I think it’s name spoke to my card, a card that speaks to the essence of tranquility. Early Espresso draws out the color of the wood grain from the Wood Textures DSP. The white is watercolor paper. It is kind of mix between Whisper White and Very Vanilla.

Card Details:

• The card base is created from Tranquil Tide Cardstock and is cut to 5.5 in x 8.5 in and scored / folded at 4.25 in. I cut another piece of Tranquil Tide to create the mat behind the watercolor paper.
• I used a dark piece of the Wood Texture Designer Series Paper as both a layer and for the Adirondack chairs Thins (from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies). Since Adirondack chairs are usually constructed with wood, I thought this DSP was a perfect fit.
• The heart in between the two chairs is from the Labeler Alphabet Photopolymer Set and the Happy Anniversary Sentiment is from the Milestone Moments Stamp Set (2017 Occasions Catalog and is continuing to the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalog.

Although you can’t purchase a few things showcased in this card until June 1st, you can purchase a couple items now.
