He's sold millions of records around the world, and is largely regarded as one of the most commercially successful musicians on the planet.
But Sir Paul McCartney looked just like any other proud father as he assumed a coveted front row seat at his daughter Stella McCartney's Paris Fashion Week show at the French capital's Palais Garnier on Monday morning.
Joining the great and good of the style set at the unveiling of the British designer's spring/summer 2014 collection, the former Beatles rocker sat next to his wife Nancy Shevell as they watched the likes of catwalk queens Cara Delevingne and Miranda Kerr well and truly rock the runway.

The New Yorker completed her look with a pair of strappy sandals and a gunmetal grey and gold handbag, while wearing her dark brunette locks pulled back into a chic chignon.
Sir Paul proved himself to be quite the darling of the fashion crowd, greeting former Bond girl Barbara Bach - who is the wife of his friend and fellow former Beatle Ringo Starr - with a kiss and embracing designer Mario Testino as they took up their seats on the front row.
It was a real family affair for the Stella McCartney Paris Fashion Week show, with the designer's brother James also bagging a front-row seat.
The singer wore a simple tailored suit, while injecting a dramatic pop of colour to his ensemble with the addition of a pair of cobalt blue star-print cowboy-style boots.
Joining the McCartneys for the best view in the house were the likes of Texas singer Sharleen Spiteri and Hollywood actress Salma Hayek, who looked nothing short of immaculate as she made her way inside the show alongside her French businessman husband Francois-Henri Pinault.
The stunning star looked the absolute epitome of Parisian chic in a stylish white dress, featuring an embellished Peter Pan collar and a nude skater skirt, which emphasised her slim waist.
Salma completed her look with a pair of towering nude Mary Jane heels and a gunmetal grey clutch bag, while sheltering her eyes from the sun with a pair of dark shades.
And it was just as star-studded an affair on the catwalk as on the front row, with the likes of Cara Delevingne and Miranda Kerr strutting their stuff on the runway in a series of elegant lace designs.
Sir Paul seemed positively exhilarated as he left the show, fist-pumping the air with delight as a result of seeing his daughter enjoy another successful season of designs.
