On this day in 1942, Bambi first came to theaters. Though it’s not a film with many outfits in it–or any at all for that matter–Bambi has somehow served as fashion inspiration for many designers over the years. In fact, one of our Disney Style writers is even wearing a Bambi-patterned dress today to celebrate the anniversary; talk about a true Disney fan!
For our celebration of everyone’s favorite King of the Forest, we had to include something from Givenchy’s famous Bambi print that was such a hit this last year. Pink blossom earrings are obviously a shout-out to Thumper’s “just eat the blossoms!” line. These casual, distressed skinny jeans from H&M were a cute accompaniment to the sweatshirt. To add some edge and dress the whole look up a bit, we added black booties from Jeffry Campbell and a classic bag from Zac Posen.
